Macy's Flower Show

Yesterday my mom and took a little trip into Minneapolis for an orchestra concert and after lunch at Panera we decided to check out Macy's Flower show.  It was really cool, and smelled so good!  Kind of like a taste of spring when it's still a little cold out.

I'm waiting for warmer weather so I can see this stuff outside my window!
We've hit a little cold patch... Here's hoping it gets as warm as they say it's supposed to be this weekend!

The Hunger Games: Movie

Okay, so if you haven't picked up on my love of the Hunger Games, you either must not read my blog, or not follow me on Twitter (and if you do follow me on Twitter, I'm sure the fangirly tweets will die down eventually.)

Anyways, last weekend I obvs went to see the midnight showing with my bff Jessie.
After laughing and sighing I came out of the theater overwhelmed. At first I was concerned about the things they left out, but then I realized, they just can't add it all.

So overall, I loved it. It followed the book pretty closely, but mostly, it was just good.
Probably the biggest problem I had with it, was that they added swear words. Whattt?
I mean, come on. There weren't any in all the books. That just seems pretty pointless.

So basically, I reallyreally want to see it again. This week.

p.s
Read this blog! It's by the Peeta account on Twitter. This really helped me to understand some things about the movie, so Jessie make sure you read this!

Last Weekend.

Last weekend, Jessie came over.

We went out to eat with my visiting uncle Tom from Florida, my aunt Perky (his sister) and uncle Bruce. I have such a good family.

We watched Humphrey Bogart movies. Casablanca (my first time seeing it!) and Sabrina.

I've also decided Humphrey is one of the most handsome actors ever. I mean, he even wears a trench coat. So classy.

Jessie and I brought Emily lunch at work.

Emily and I wore green. Jessie did not. Emily pinched her.

We made little cheeseburger sliders from The Pioneer Woman's new cookbook. Let's just say we all died. And then came back to life to eat the rest.

We did a photo shoot.

We ate lots of strawberries. And croissants.

Took a road trip into town and had ice cream from DQ.

Went to church, and then out to lunch with Jessie afterwards. Stuffed paper in her keychain money holder. She wasn't amused. But she still loves me. And Emily.
Hey, Jessie, go check it right now! Ha ha ha...

Anyways, it was a very good weekend. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful family.
